Car ride turned deadly Saturday some Greece after alleged drunk driver crashed into them and then left the scene.

Jason DePinto says her parents went to drive Saturday afternoon to buy some apples. Jason was out of town when his brother called and told him to return quickly because their parents had been involved in an accident.

He was really upset about it and told me it was bad, and that's when I lost it, says Jason.

Volunteers working to restore the machine to be used in MD.

Jamie Haislip has gone from playing with model trains as a child to work with a 44-ton train as an adult.

52-year-old electrical contractor recently purchased 1949 locomotive diesel engine, which is now in line in Walkersville Southern Railroad, where he worked as a volunteer.

The machine has some rust and crack windows. It takes a lot of work to be fully functional but it runs, and hope to have it Haislip and runs as part of the WSR next year.

"I want to keep it, I don't want to see it go into a pile of rubbish," said Haislip. "I've been following the train throughout my life, but this is the first machine I've owned."

Haislip standing in front of the engine 2-foot-high, 25-foot-long on some Sunday morning when he spoke. He is getting ready to ride the train's engine as well as other travel destinations. WSR operates in much of the route between Frederick, Walkersville and offers panoramic views of the travel and tourism, as the train rides with Santa and dinner trains.

NHTSA releases list theft car

Washington

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to track the level of theft among all passenger vehicles are stolen in 2009 new 2009, and has just released its report.

Audi S8 has the highest rate of theft: theft of 8.81 per 1,000 vehicles are produced. Only two of 227 cars produced were stolen.

Ford Shelby Mustang GT Motor Co. has the second highest level of theft with 8.61 per 1,000 stolen vehicles; five of 581 total stolen car.

Rounding out the top five: BMW M5 (7.58 per 1,000), the Dodge Charger (6.47 per 1,000) and Honda Muchdi (5.60 per 1,000).

Mayor Decries latest army machine plant bid

Stratford Mayor John a. Harkins is pretty much fed up with what he termed the army failed attempts to find the "options" for redeveloping former military machinery manufacturers.

Bidding process of the federal Government, which has the property of the 78-acre site, it doesn't work, he said.

The latest round of bidding closed on November 18, and produce a single offer from Milford-based developers who want to turn the property into a hotel, museum, public and private Marina, wellness spas and an open theater.

The developer, the development of Hartmann, LLC, estimate project costs $ 1 billion, to be split 50/50 between the federal Government and the developer. Hartmann said the project will create about 8,000 jobs.

Harkins label proposal as another failure by the army to secure the offer of a workable.
